The EPA's Anti-Smog Rule

Cartoon: The EPA's Anti-Smog Rule

Remember The Hobbit, when Bard the Bowman took down the dragon Smaug? The EPA is proposing a new rule to cut real-life smog. The “smog rule” would apply to heavy-duty vehicles and could cut average emissions by 90% within four years. It could avert up to 2,000 premature deaths and 18,000 cases of childhood asthma each year.
