COP26 Talks: Wade Crawford, California’s Natural Resources Secretary

Wade Crowfoot was appointed California Secretary for Natural Resources by Governor Gavin Newsom in January 2019 to oversee the 21,000 employees who protect and manage California's diverse resources. This includes stewarding the state's forests and natural lands, rivers and waterways, coast and ocean, fish and wildlife, and energy development. Secretary Crowfoot is a champion for climate mitigation and adaptation policies within California's natural and working lands, and famously confronted former President Trump on the science of climate change.
