Too Hot for a Thneed

Heat waves are now the United States' top weather-related cause of death. To combat the impacts of extreme heat and rising temperatures brought on by climate change, President Biden launched a government-wide strategy on Monday: Six federal agencies will collaborate to protect vulnerable populations, including outdoor workers, children, and the elderly. The Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has begun to establish a national workplace heat standard, and many believe that Biden's new strategy might lead to more OSHA standards for employers. Unfortunately, the new standards are expected to receive pushback from employers, given they will cost money. These companies plan on biggering, and biggering, and BIGGERING, unless someone like Biden cares a whole awful lot. And thank goodness he does.
