Professor Alexandre Antonelli, PhD and Director of Science at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Antonelli's research has focused on elucidating the origins and evolution of the rich biodiversity of tropical regions, with a focus on the Andean and Amazonian regions of South America. Kew recently released a study pointing to the 10 golden rules for restoring forests, as well as the Kew Declaration on Reforestation for Biodiversity, Carbon Capture and Livelihoods, signed by more than 3,000 global scientists and concerned citizens.
